Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1 cup favorite low sugar BBQ sauce (we love Primal Kitchen brand)
- 1 can pineapple rings
- 1/2 red onion, sliced into rings
- lettuce, cilantro, green onions for topping
- 1 avocado, sliced for topping
- 4-5 favorite buns (ideally one with high fiber like Hero brand)
Directions
- Mix together chicken and almond flour and form into patties. Add more almond flour if too sticky.
- Heat grill to medium-high and add patties. Brush some teriyaki sauce onto the side facing up while burgers cook 4-5 minutes. Flip, brush again and cook another 3-5 minutes.
- While burgers cook or after removing from grill, add onion and pineapple rings, brush with sauce, cook just 1-3 minutes per side and brush again on other side.
- Assemble your burgers with toppings and avocado, and more sauce as needed.
