Serves 1 loaf

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup favorite nut or seed butter
  • 1.5 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup ground flax meal
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • sprinkle sea salt & cinnamon
  • 1-2 cups dried fruit
  • 1-2 cups mixed nuts, chopped
  • Optional (but highly recommended) Honey Ghee Spread: 1/4 cup softened ghee + 2 tsp raw honey

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix: Whisk wet ingredients together in a large bowl, then fold in dry ingredients.
  3. Bake: Pour batter into a greased bread pan and bake for 45 minutes.
  4. Prepare Spread: While bread bakes, stir together softened ghee and raw honey if using as a spread.
  5. Enjoy: Let baked bread cool 5-10 minutes, remove from bread pan, slice and serve with Honey Ghee Spread. Add a tiny bit of sea salt to the top for added amazing.
