Sacred Sunday-July 27

Welcome to July 27th, 2018 Sacred Sunday we hope you had an amazing week!

Personal Calendar Review:

Megan has a different work schedule almost every day this week, teaching late on Tuesday and leading an early morning grocery tour Thursday. She plans on making a double batch each on Sunday of chia pudding and of zucchini bread oatmeal (recipes in your workbook!) so that her breakfasts are ready to go and her mornings can be more streamlined. She has also looked ahead at gym class schedules and has an early morning yoga class picked out on Tuesday and a later evening spin for Thursday since those days have alternate time frames for her. Monday from 5:30-6:30 we do not have class so Megan plans to use this gift of time to get an extra-long walk in with her dog!

Heather’s next half marathon is in two months so every Tuesday/ Thursday evenings are her long runs.  She is incorporating more plant based proteins than usual including large batch of vegan chili & making the eggs in muffin tins for the week.

Exercise Appointments:

Your challenge this week is to try a new type of movement! Whether it’s a new class, a new walking group or different machine in the gym, see if your body enjoys moving in a brand new way!

Meal Prep:

Take charge of breakfasts this week! Over the weekend choose 1-3 breakfast options from your workbook that sound tasty, buy enough ingredients to make at least a double batch and prepare as much ahead of time as possible. If you chose a smoothie, put all of the solid ingredients into labeled baggies to be blended up in no time! If the zucchini bread oatmeal is more your style, you can make the entire thing ahead of time and simply re-heat when ready to eat! See how it feels to have your morning meals ready to go all week long!

Recharge Mental Health & Self-Care:

This week embrace the word NO! Practice saying NO to things that no longer serve you, commitments, favors etc… Saying No can be one of the hardest things for those wired to please others. It can also be a lack of boundaries that can compromise aspects of your life. Take inventory of your commitments- is there an area that you can say NO to so that you can say YES to yourself?!

Your Weekly Intention:

If you have a specific intention that’s wonderful if not we would love to offer you ours:

Saying NO is a complete sentence!

Remember that your self-worth does not depend on how much you do for other people.

Learning to say no can challenge you to overcome fear of rejection.

Intention setting:

  • Take three deep breaths.
  • As you become present ask yourself one or all of these questions “what is my desire for this week? What do I most want to happen in this coming week? How do I want to feel as I go about my days? What do I most want to accomplish in support of my personal and professional goals?”
  • As the answers develop write down what comes to mind, choose a word, a phrase or a sentence that describes your highest intention.

Such as:  I take brisk walks in the sunshine to invigorate my body and soul, I am able to take risks and live fear free,  I have love and compassion for myself,  I deserve good things / happiness / love.
