Meet Tessa!
Tessa is one of our three incredible Pilates instructors. In addition to leading private, mini group and small classes in our reformer studio, you will also find Tessa teaching our Pilates for Pelvic Floor Medical Fitness Class! Tessa has a Pfilates certification, making her a true expert in strengthening the core and pelvic floor with breath to movement exercises.
Background: Tessa grew up here in OC but cruised the world for over 7 years as a professional dancer on Carnival Cruise Lines! She later merged her dancing career with fitness and became a 3rd generation Pilates instructor. Tessa continues to pursue her passion for health by soon becoming certified as a personal trainer and nutritionist as well! Tessa loves working with clients of all ages and abilities and is especially well versed in working with dancers and athletes after using Pilates to enhance her own healing after an ACL injury and surgery.
Morning & Evening Routine: is a home-brewed black coffee and later snuggling with her 3-legged Chihuahua Bailey.
Fun Fact: She’s an adrenaline junkie! She’s been skydiving twice!
Tessa’s Wellness Tip: Set yourself up for success. Tessa preps her breakfast and her clothes the night before for a streamlined morning.
Mindful Moment: Be grateful for what your body CAN do. Reflect on how far you’ve come and what it took to get yourself to today.
Tessa’s Favorite Choco-PB Overnight Oats Recipe:
*1 banana
*1/3 cup oats
*1/2 cup unsweetened chocolate almond milk
*2 Tbls powdered PB
*1 scoop favorite protein powder
*pinch salt
Mash 1/2 of the banana in a jar then combine with all other ingredients. Chop the remaining 1/2 banana into pieces and stir into the jar mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight
