How are you doing? No really, how are you doing?

We’re a bit over halfway through the first month of the year! After the magic of the new year and holidays have gone, we’re all checking in with ourselves to see how we’re doing.

This year, we’ve set the intention of adding more joy to our lives. (You can read about that in this blog post here!) 

If you haven’t made way on your goals or resolutions for the year…

That’s okay! It’s really never too late to set habits that will bring you joy and inspire you. We’re here to support you. Below you’ll find out top three tips for making new habits stick.


Tips for Making it Stick

Here are a few tips from our team to help you stay focused on your goals

1. Write down your “Why”

Take a moment and physically write down why you’ve chosen this goal, why it’s important to you, and what you think you’ll get out of accomplishing it. Writing it down is a great reminder and motivation to keep making your goals a priority.

2. Recruit a buddy

Whether it’s in-person (safely!) or virtually, having a support system is great for helping you stay dedicated to your goals. It can be as simple as agreeing to text a friend a reminder to meditate in the morning or chatting on the phone while you take a walk outside. Let people know what you’re working on, listen to what they’re prioritizing this year, and make it happen together!

3. Take a look at your routine

Think about your daily routine. What small changes can you make to it to seamlessly support your goals? If you wanted to read more this year, try downloading the public library app and checking out audiobooks to listen to on your commute or turn off the TV 30 minutes earlier to read before bed. 


Incorporating your goals into your routine is a great way to bring joy to your day to day life and turn goals into a habit.
